Nuit is a sensory journey into a realm of suspended time. For the duration of the concert, the night becomes a space of freedom where boundaries dissolve between eras, genres, classical and pop music, and the intimate and the spectacular.
Joining Trio SR9, Fredrika Stahl performs within a rich sonic setting created by marimba, vibraphone, drums, prepared piano, and tuned glasses. The instruments unfold a multifaceted palette—by turns melodic, rhythmic, and delicate. Their timbres blend with the voice to form a living texture, sketching a nocturnal landscape where sounds echo one another, transform, and seem to breathe.
Spanning from Henry Purcell and Gabriel Fauré to Fredrika Stahl’s own compositions, the program also engages in a dialogue with modern artists such as Fiona Apple and PJ Harvey. Works separated by centuries meet within the same musical space, sparking unexpected connections and resonances.
The concert is conceived as a true journey: entering the night, losing oneself in it, dreaming, being surprised by voices emerging from the darkness, and finally stepping out with a renewed way of listening.
Between shadow and light, centuries converge, voices are set free, and the boundaries between classical and pop music fade away, allowing a shared language to emerge.
